It is an excellent everyday cleaning ally.<\/p>\n<p>However, it <strong>does not replace an approved disinfectant<\/strong> when real disinfection is needed, for example when someone in the home has a contagious illness. Sprinkle, leave for 1 hour, vacuum.<\/p>\n<h3>3. Scented white vinegar<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>500 ml white vinegar<\/li>\n<li>30 drops lavandin essential oil<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Mix in a spray bottle and shake before each use. Ideal for bathrooms, windows and limescale. Lavandin covers the smell of vinegar.<\/p>\n\n<h2>Keeping insects away with lavandin<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Moths<\/strong>: flower sachets or a few drops on a cloth in wardrobes, renewed monthly.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Mosquitoes<\/strong>: 5 drops in a diffuser in the evening, or on a cotton pad near windows.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Ants<\/strong>: a few drops along their path, by windows and doors.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<h2>\u26a0\ufe0f Be careful with pets, especially cats<\/h2>\n<p>Essential oils can be <strong>dangerous for cats<\/strong>, which eliminate them very poorly. Do not diffuse essential oils in a room where a cat lives, never apply them to the animal, and store bottles out of reach. Air the room well after cleaning. For dogs and other pets, ask your vet.<\/p>\n\n<h2>Frequently asked questions<\/h2>\n<h3>Lavender or lavandin for cleaning?<\/h3>\n<p>Lavandin. Its scent is stronger and longer-lasting, and it is more economical.
