The distillery

Traditional know-how in the heart of the Plateau de Valensole

After harvesting, the lavender and lavandin flowers are transported to our distillery in the heart of the fields. They are then placed in a vat, similar to a giant still, where steam extracts the essential oil. This process, called distillation, takes several hours. It requires great care to guarantee the quality of the essential oil. It’s a very special moment, when the air is filled with the intense scent of lavender and lavandin.

We invite you to make an appointment to visit the distillery. We’ll explain how it works and you’ll be intoxicated by the delicious scent of lavender.

Distillerie pour nos huiles essentielles de Lavande bio

Our distillery is located in the heart of the Plateau de Valensole, surrounded by fields of organic lavender and lavandin that we grow and harvest ourselves. This proximity between our crops and our distillery guarantees the freshness of our plants and the quality of our essential oils.

Distillation is an ancestral practice inherited from our ancestors. The essential oil is extracted from lavender and lavandin flowers using steam. Cette méthode douce préserve toutes les propriétés bénéfiques de nos plantes.

Today, distillation is carried out in large vats to improve yield.

During the distillation season, from July to August, you can watch the process live.

Our doors are open to visitors who want to find out more about this traditional technique and go behind the scenes of the production of our organic essential oils.

Our organic lavender and lavandin essential oils are the result of meticulous, environmentally-friendly work. They are produced without additives or chemicals, in line with our commitment to organic and sustainable farming.

It’s in this distillery, surrounded by the iconic landscapes of the Plateau de Valensole, that we transform our precious flowers into essential oils.

These are then used to make our soaps, detergents and all our by-products.

Sélection de produits lavande bio

Our main activity is the growing of lavender and lavandin, a family history with us for four generations. For years we have been pioneers in organic farming and recognised for the high quality of our work.

It was during a family meal in 2015 that the idea of distributing our products directly came to us. Until then, we had been selling our produce to wholesalers or agricultural cooperatives.

So it was on this impetus that myself, Samuel (22) and my partner Emma (20) decided to devote ourselves to this crop full-time, leaving the production side to my father so that everyone had all the space they needed to best develop their part of the business.
