Description

Discover our Miel de Garrigue, passionately harvested on the picturesque Plateau de Valensole in France. This poly-floral honey, produced in our beehives and packaged on the Plateau de Valensole, reveals the botanical richness of our Provencal lands.

Miel de Garrigue is a springtime honey, born from the generous diversity of local flora. It incorporates the distinctive flavors of wild herbs such as thyme and rosemary, as well as oak honeydew. Our bees delight in these spring blooms to produce a unique honey.

With its lovely light amber color, this honey crystallizes thicker than its cousin lavender honey. It offers a more pronounced and characteristic flavor, marking a typical garrigue taste.

This honey is more than just a natural product, it’s a summary of our commitment to nature.

Our bees forage on the wild plants of the Valensole plateau, producing a superior quality honey. By encouraging these practices, we are actively helping to save bees.

Miel de Garrigue is as much a treat for the taste buds as it is an ally in well-being. Thanks to its high thyme nectar content, up to 40% depending on the year, it is effective against sore throats, burns and scars.

Make it your daily companion, whether for energizing morning toast or to sweeten tea, coffee or yoghurt. Healthier than refined sugar, it helps you stay in great shape and enjoy yourself at the same time!

Our honeys are harvested with respect for bees and the environment. We use no chemical treatments, and our honeys are systematically analyzed in the laboratory after harvesting.

Let yourself be tempted by Miel de Garrigue, the ultimate wellness ally, and rediscover the authentic taste of honey with our Miel de Garrigue – a naturally delicious product that’s good for your health.

On request, our Miel de Garrigue is also available in a more liquid version for part of the year.

Directions for use

In your cooking: Garrigue honey is a natural substitute for refined sugar. Use it to sweeten pastries, vinaigrettes, marinades or grilled meats. It can also be used to caramelize vegetables.

On toast: Spread generously on fresh or toasted bread for a delicious, energizing breakfast or snack. You can also combine it with peanut butter or fromage frais for a surprisingly sweet-savory mix.

In drinks: Add a teaspoon of Garrigue honey to your tea, coffee, hot milk or even smoothies. It adds a sweet, aromatic note to your drinks.

Cosmetics: Honey is an excellent skin care product thanks to its moisturizing, soothing and healing properties. You can use it in your homemade face, hair or lip masks.

For your health: Garrigue honey, particularly rich in thyme, is effective for relieving sore throats. Simply take a tablespoon neat or diluted in herbal tea. What’s more, its antioxidant content helps boost the immune system.

Storage: To preserve all its properties, honey should be stored away from light and heat. Honey does not expire, and can crystallize naturally over time. If this happens, simply place the jar in a bain-marie over low heat to make it liquid again.

Always remember that honey is not suitable for children under one year of age.

Sélection de produits lavande bio

Our main activity is the growing of lavender and lavandin, a family history with us for four generations. For years we have been pioneers in organic farming and recognised for the high quality of our work.

It was during a family meal in 2015 that the idea of distributing our products directly came to us. Until then, we had been selling our produce to wholesalers or agricultural cooperatives.

So it was on this impetus that myself, Samuel (22) and my partner Emma (20) decided to devote ourselves to this crop full-time, leaving the production side to my father so that everyone had all the space they needed to best develop their part of the business.
